Questions? I got em answered

These are my most frequently asked questions, paired with the answers! If you have any more, let me know and I will do my best to answer them for you. I hope you come away feeling super informed!

How long does it take to deliver the images?

It usually takes up to 3 – 6 weeks for me to hand edit all the content from your wedding. I will then post out a little package with your USB drive, your private web gallery, and some other goodies.

Can my guests view and order photos?
Yes they can! I create an online gallery for you and your guests that is password protected. They will be able to view and download images from the gallery or order high quality copies of individual pictures from myself.
How many images will we receive?
This will depend on a few things such as how many hours of coverage you have or how many guests are at your wedding. From a 5 hour shoot you can expect between  200-400 images. Longer appointments generate more pictures, and a full day could be represented by up to 800 images.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
I do indeed! This is a good option if you would like a bit of practice in front of the camera, or if you are making save the date cards with your lovely faces on them! A shoot costs £150 for up to two hours. A free engagement shoot is offered with the “Wild Thing” package
Do you take traditional wedding photos?
I would describe my style as documentary with elements of fine art portraiture. For the most part I shoot discretely, mindful of the unique lighting and compositional aspects of your day. For portraits and group shots I am comfortable and skilled at giving direction, even to large numbers, to achieve beautiful pictures that capture the different personalities and emotions of your friends and family. I always snap away between poses as unposed shots are often the most photogenic.
Can We Meet You?

Of course, and I insist. Choosing the right photographer is an important aspect of your planning so it is essential that we all feel that we are a good fit. After all this is a day you will want to remember forever, and it’s my responsibility to capture it. I usually meet my couples at my studio in Sheffield, or sometimes the pub or a coffee shop. If that isn’t possible, a Skype call will do the trick.

Do we need to feed you ?
You can if you like, but it is not part of the contract! I am very easy to cater for as I do not have any dietary requirements. I am always more than grateful if I am fed but also very happy to bring a pack-up if I need to. Some couples have been very generous and included me in their table plan next to Uncle Earle, I have been bought a pub meal at the bar, or even been provided with a pizza from the van. Either way I am flexible and happy to do what suits as long as I have somewhere to fuel up. I tend to eat when you eat to avoid any embarrassing hamster face pictures!
How does the album design process work?
Once you have received your images, you can make a shortlist of your favorite ones. Send them across to me and I can then design your pages, creating a narrative for the day. Most books will have around 25 spreads (50 pages) But if you need more pages,no problem. Once I have designed the layout, I will send you a digital proof in order for you to approve or make ammendments.
Are you insured?
Yes. I have public liability insurance. Some venues may ask for this and I am happy to produce any of the documents you may need.
What happens if it rains?
Then we will work something out! There will either be a window where we can nip out  for an out door shot, I will bring a brolley or I will find a good spot in the dry comfort of your venue. I have a degree in photography and bags of experience, so leave the troubleshooting on the spot to me. Otherwise, get your boots on and climb up a hill if you want a stormy scenic shot!
Do we need a second shooter?
Entirely up to you! A second shooter is always good if you would like coverage of both couples getting ready. If you have more that 120 guests, it is always advisable to have a second as you will get more coverage of them. I personally edit all images taken by the 2nd who will be a  professional photographer that I work with regularly.
What HAPPENS IF YOU ARE ILL AND CAN'T MAKE THE WEDDING?

This is very unlikely to happen, and hasn’t happened in the past. I do have a contingency in place as I am a part of a network of like minded photographers who would be able to take the reigns if something out of the ordinary should happen. A replacement photographer would have a similar style to me and I would still edit the images.

What areas do you cover?
I am based in Sheffield but am not limited to where I will travel. There is a petrol fee of 0.45p per mile for locations outside of a 10 mile radius of Sheffield. If you would like me to shoot a destination wedding (yes please!) outside of the UK, please contact me to discuss further.
We are interested! What now?
Brilliant! All you need to do is fill in this contact form and tell me the date of your wedding. If I am free, I will send you a brochure that includes details about pricing, more about me and feedback from previous couples.  If I am not free, I can recommend a photographer to you. We can then arrange to meet up to chat more about the day, get to know each other, and then you will just need to send a 20% booking fee to secure the date.
