15 of the Best wedding venues in Sheffield

Looking for your perfect wedding venue in Sheffield?

I have frequented a few wedding venues in my time. For that reason, I have posted some of my favorite images of the gorgeous spaces that I have had the pleasure of shooting. Whether you are looking for an unusual or quirky warehouse wedding venue or perhaps a more traditional reception space, Sheffield offers a plethora of venues that will be just right for you. If you are also looking for a wedding photographer and want to know about the packages I offer, you can see them here.

1. 92 Burton Road

If Sheffield industrial heritage floats your wedding boat, then 92 Burton road is for you! With over 7,500sq.ft. of flexible space,  you will have plenty of room to do, well, just about anything. Home to Sheffield famed Peddlers market, you will be confident you can even squeeze in a few food vans into this wedding venue in Sheffield. Daisy and Patrick decorated this versatile space with the most gorgeous blooms created by Petalis.

The Vibe: Industrial, cool and full of character

Photo ops: For some lovely golden hour images, I took Daisy and Patrick to the Ball street bridge just around the corner.

Bonus : Free parking, Massive concrete bar, tonnes of space and natural light

2. Abbeydale Picture House

The Abbeydale Picture house is probably one of the most unusual wedding venues in Yorkshire. I don’t think many people can say they tied the knot in a 1920’s Cinema! This venue evokes pure nostalgia, and the ambient light is oh so romantic. This is pure camera fodder for me! The 4:3 aspect screen    (the biggest in Sheffield) is the perfect backdrop for the ceremony.  The fly tower situated behind the screen is ideal for banqueting style dinner and speeches.

The Vibe :  Atmospheric, vintage, romantic

Photo ops: I took Katie and Dom around the balcony to find some natural light escaping through the windows. There are plenty of quirky spaces for a quick wedding portrait.

Bonus: Free Private Parking, licensed wedding venue and you are allowed to bring table wine and fizz for after your ceremony – get in touch with my lovely wedding buddies at  Inner City Weddings to find out more

3. 99 Mary Street

This post-industrial space is so warm and intimate. It is suited for smaller wedding parties, but you can easily have a smaller ceremony and ramp it up at a nearby location for the evening do. 99 Mary Street is a flexible space with beautiful exposed brick and a courtyard for the kids to run around or for some fresh air. I love photographing portraits around this venue. You can see a bit more abut how I work here.

The Vibe: Relaxed, intimate, cool

Photo Ops: Plenty of Sheffield street art in the surrounding areas for portraits. The cobbled street out front is perfect for that old Yorkshire aesthetic

Bonus: Soon to be a fully licensed wedding venue, so you can have the legal bit and the party at the same time.

If you prefer a background that is more foliage than brick, then this could be for you! Located near the Loxley and Rivelin Valleys is the Woodlane Countryside Centre. It a two-hundred-year-old Georgian stone built farm, so you can imagine it is full of character. You also have the option of having the ceremony outside or in the beautiful grain loft. The gardens are stunning, and there is plenty of room for a tipi or marquee. There were so many options when it came to photographing here, as the buildings are beautiful inside and out.

This ivy clad mansion will give you some serious stately 16th century vibes! I have photographed a wedding with around 80 guests with the all singing and dancing disco and three-course meal. This Sheffield wedding venue near the center is peaceful as it issnuggled in a valley, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It is a 1920’s warehouse space in Sheffield’s industrial quarter and home to the brilliant Percy and Lily’s two Citroen H Vans transformed to bring tasty street food from around the globe! The industrial venue is super versatile and has bags and bags of character. I was so lucky to have shot for Justine and Trudi at their ceremony in this special space.

Check out the gorgeous foliage on the tables from my lovely pal Campbell’s Flowers. Winner!
